Understanding and managing your wellbeing
Feeling a range of different emotions at different times is completely normal. However, it is important to be aware of the emotions we are feeling and respond correctly if we need to manage them.
Our feelings are caused by the thoughts that enter our heads. These emotions then determine our behaviour which can have positive or negative outcomes depending on our response. This is called the Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Cycle.
There are strategies we can practise to challenge any negative thoughts we have and also to manage our emotions when they become too strong.
